The first Kobler factory in Vietnam

Investing in a 20,245m2 factory with a capacity of 10 million m2 each month in Da Nang – Vietnam, Kobler’s vision is to dominate 25% of the Vietnamese flooring market and conquer the Asian market in the 10-year forward.

Kobler’s factory is located in Da Nang with a total investment of 25 million EURO on more than 20,425m2, operating with a capacity of 3m2/year. The production line is synchronous, fully automatic, with modern European standard technology. Homag’s gantry plate cutting line system which has high accuracy at about 1/1000 was operated by German Homag and German Kobler engineers. Machines operate according to the 5S process, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 to improve labor productivity, product quality and ensure environmental friendliness.

Sharing about choosing Vietnam as the location for the manufacturing plant, Mr. Massot – Global Communications Director of Kobler Group said: “Vietnam has the advantage of exporting with multiple seaports. The benefit of quartz stone in Vietnam helps us proactively supply and stabilize prices.”

Fluctuations such as the currency crisis, the Russia-Ukraine conflict… have caused great damage to the economy. Many industries are strongly affected, including the construction materials industry.

The negative outlook of global economic growth has led to weak purchasing for construction materials. The supply-require asymmetry due to oversupply also causes fierce competition between businesses.

Those factors will be challenges that Kobler must overcome to reach expectations in the Vietnamese and Asian markets.

However, positive signals from Asian experts and consumers show that Kobler quartz flooring is completely capable of overtaking traditional flooring materials to become the main flooring material in the future.
